Website Lamparina

Lamparina Hero Image

Introduction

Lamparina is a small business dedicated to manufacturing design lamps made from materials recovered by urban collectors.

My key goal for this project was to provide the business with a strong presence and tools to share their work and products online.

Before the development of Lamparina's website, this small business carried out all its marketing efforts thanks to word of mouth, and its ability to reach new customers was highly limited.

Tech Stack

For this project, I decided to use Astro as the main framework because this website content is mainly static, and this situation is perfect to benefit from Astro's performance and island component-based rendering.

Spotlight

The primary technical focus of this website was its performance. I worked consistently to apply good practices for accessibility and SEO, that could benefit the business positioning and user experience.

I also worked with the client to curate the correct information that was going to be displayed on the site, as it was a key item to convey the right message according to the brand.

Lessons Learned

I exercise my soft skills working with the client to define the correct scope of the project.

Due to time and resource constraints, I needed to provide different approaches for this website to find the correct balance between the client's needs and capabilities.

I was able to use my communication skills to outline the pros and cons of each solution. That way we reached an agreement point before development started.
